Our History
Two people in 1999 – Shri Mahendra Nayak & Shri Pratapchand Sundvesha came together with the idea of doing something to promote & protect the interest of Distributors, Wholesellers, etc., of stationery trade. Their Ideas, tireless efforts & perseverance led to the formation of an Association ,-SSVA -SUBURBUN STATIONERY VYAPARI ASSOCIATION IN 2000.From a humble beginning with few members to the present day strength of 64 active members. SSVA owes a lot to these two visionaries.
SSVA was formed with the idea of promoting FREE, HEALTHY & TRANSPARENT trade where all benefit & progress. In a short span of 12 years SSVA has matured from a child to a teenager growing from strength to strength. In these short span of 12 years SSVA has given more V F M i.e VALUE FOR MONEY to the stationery trade than promised. We at SSVA believe in “TEAM” meaning “TOGETHER EVERYONE ACHIEVES MORE”.
SSVA'S MOTTO is WE CAN’T SPELL S_CCESS WITHOUT ”U”. In this 12 years we had three Presidents viz, Shri Ketan M. Haria as its FIRST President , Shri Jayesh K. Doshi as its SECOND President & Shri Bharat T. Shah as its THIRD & IMMEDIATE PAST PRESIDENT. Now we have a young, dynamic & energetic FOURTH President Shri Bhavesh C. Manek. SSVA has been associated with many CULTURAL, SOCIAL& HUMANITARIAN activities right from inception. SSVA has many FIRSTS to its credit.
It was the first Association to Organise Sales Training programme for its members & staff. It was the first Stationery Association to organise a FULL FLEDGED STATIONERY EXHIBITION were we served free Snacks Tea/Coffee to each & every Visitor. It has now become a tradition. We have organised many Cricket Tournaments, Blood Donation Camps, Drawing Competitions, launch of FINANCIAL CALENDAR containing important TAX dates for payment. We have also been associated in Charity, Draught relief & Flood relief activities. It was the First Stationery Association to publish a Bulletin “SAMVAAD” – communication between us .... for us... by us... ,for its Members & Stationery Industry in general. It has played a lead role in the forming of many Associations. Viz, CSSVA – CENTRAL SUBURBUN STATIONERY VYAPARI ASSOCIATION, SUBURBUN BOOKSELLERS & STATIONERY ASSOCIATION & not the least in the formation of THE FEDERATION OF MAHARASHTRA TRADERS & MANUFACTURERS ASSOCIATION. SSVA always believe in walking together with all like minded people & welcome them with OPEN ARMS.. Stationery trade always look upon SSVA for providing something new each time & we have not disappointed them. SSVA has become an ICON of Stationery trade. .
